Women in Timber webinar to tackle Imposter Syndrome

Women in Timber webinar to tackle Imposter Syndrome

Laura Qualters, Membership Development Manager at Timber Development UK, details the upcoming Women in Timber webinar on 14 July, which will dive into the subject of Imposter Syndrome, led by Sophie Turner of #YesSheCan.

“At Women in Timber, we’re passionate about creating opportunities for women across the timber sector to connect, learn and support one another.

“Our next webinar is designed to do just that by opening up an honest and practical conversation around a challenge many of us may face during our careers: Imposter Syndrome.

“Have you ever questioned whether you really deserve your success, worried that you’ll be “found out”, or felt your achievements were simply down to luck?

“If so, you’re not alone. Research suggests that around 75% of people experience imposter syndrome at some point in their lives, regardless of their experience, skills or accomplishments.

“Imposter syndrome is the persistent feeling that you’re not as capable as others believe you to be.

“It can undermine confidence, influence decision making and even hold people back from pursuing new opportunities or recognising their own achievements. The good news is that feeling like an imposter doesn’t mean you are one.

“We’re delighted to welcome Sophie Turner from #YesSheCan, who will lead this engaging and interactive session.

“Sophie will explore what imposter syndrome is, why so many of us experience it, and the impact it can have on both our confidence and career progression.

“She’ll also share practical strategies to help you recognise your strengths, challenge self-doubt and build lasting confidence, giving you the tools to move forward and leave imposter syndrome behind for good.

“Whether you’re just starting your career, stepping into leadership, or simply looking to build greater confidence, this webinar offers valuable insights for everyone.

“Join us online via Zoom on Tuesday 14th July at 1.00pm for this 90 minute session. We look forward to welcoming you.”
