Women in Fenestration Network event gains momentum

Women in Fenestration Network’s first-ever Professional Development Day event is taking place on 25 June in Bristol.

The women-only event promises to be a standout date in the fenestration calendar, bringing together industry professionals for a full day of insight, inspiration and connection. Headline speaker Sara Harling, author of Why Won’t You Let Me Speak, will lead the keynote session, sharing her expertise on communication and confidence in the workplace.

The day will also include a panel discussion hosted by Nickie West, Event Director at FIT Show, featuring women with exemplar career paths who will share their journeys and offer practical advice for progression within the industry.

Adding to the day’s focus on long-term professional growth, Clare Bailey, former Managing Director of Epwin, will introduce an informal mentoring programme designed to match mentors and mentees in the room, creating lasting connections that extend well beyond the event itself.

Sarah Ball, Founder of WFN, who has more than 20 years’ experience in the industry, said: “I am hugely excited about the inspiring line-up for the day, which demonstrates the support across the industry for a focus on women. From experience, the sector offers brilliant career prospects, but women remain underrepresented. We hope that by raising our heads above the parapet, more women will see the opportunities within fenestration.

“Alongside the formal session, there will be valuable networking opportunities and a clear focus on supporting women’s progression. The WFN Professional Development Day is set to be an unmissable event this summer.”

WFN aims to welcome a minimum of 100 women from across the industry to the event on 25 June at the Harbour Hotel in Bristol.
