TTBS clay shoot raises £2,650 for charity

The Timber Trade Benevolent Society (TTBS) Midlands Region has recently raised £2,650 for the charity during its annual clay pigeon shoot, held at Ladyswood Shooting Ground on Thursday 17 September.

The full-day event welcomed 43 participants, with participants taking on a varied and challenging selection of targets throughout the day.

The afternoon competition reportedly proved particularly competitive, with some impressive shooting on display as attendees battled it out for the top spots.

Sam Evans took first place, followed by Bruce Thomas in second, while the team prize was won by Charles Ransford and Son.

The event also provided an opportunity for those working across the timber industry to come together, with TTBS thanking all of its guests for helping to make the day a success.

Particular thanks were given to: Vida Wood, Charles Ransford and Son, Södra Wood, Taylor Maxwell, Woodbridge Timber and Wyckham Blackwell for their valued support.

The £2,650 raised on the day will go towards supporting the work of TTBS, which provides assistance to people who have worked in the timber trade and their dependants when they are facing financial hardship.

TTBS Midlands said it was grateful to everyone who attended and contributed to another successful event, adding that it looks forward to welcoming guests back for next year’s shoot.
