TJN Affiliate Member: CiiLOCK Engineering

The Joinery Network (TJN) invited Katie Wilson at CiiLOCK Engineering to talk to about its Affiliate Member Scheme. Here’s what she said:

“We have been an Affiliate Member of TJN for just over a year now, and in that time, it’s been a massive help.

“At Ciilock, we have hardware that is suitable for PVCu, aluminium and timber windows and doors, but none of our hardware experts in the UK had experience in the timber market. We also knew that because our products are high end, they suit the timber market brilliantly.

“We can see demand growing for timber windows and doors, and wanted to make it a focus for our team. But where to start? Becoming an Affiliate has given us an easy entry into the joinery side.

“The networking at TJN’s events has been the highlight. It’s given us the chance to meet members face-to-face, open up conversations about our products, and get feedback from people who are using them. But that’s not all, it’s also kickstarted conversations with members in the supply chain, and this is great for finding new ways to distribute.

“I have been in the industry for 19 years, and this is the first time I have worked within the timber sector. From a marketing perspective, being an Affiliate member gives me the authority to grow my network of companies in the industry, which has been invaluable for me.”

Andy Ball, TJN Director, added: “Thank you Katie, it’s great to hear how we were able to help you. We are always looking at ways to help our members and the Affiliate scheme brings an extra level of expertise and new opportunities, and Ciilock has been a great addition to our network.”
