The Joinery Network announces next customer event

The Joinery Network, the co-operative set up to support joinery manufacturers and improve quality and standards in the timber industry by achieving genuine certification, have announced their next customer event.

Joinery manufacturers are invited to SCM Group in Nottingham on 21 November to find out how to make PAS 24, Document Q, Part M and BS 6375: 1 compliant timber windows and doors and build a profitable business.

Owen Dare, one of the founder directors of The Joinery Network, says: “After two successful customer events in Milton Keynes, we’ve decided to host the last event in Nottingham to round our first year off.

“The network is growing briskly, with joinery manufacturers taking advantage of our investment in product testing, access to tooling and finance. This enables them to manufacture superior quality windows and doors and tap into the new build market with certified products.

“That’s why we set up The Joinery Network – to provide joinery manufacturers cascaded test data that complies with the relevant regulations and standards needed for the complete range of windows and doors, as well as to offer expert advice on how to build their business from people who really understand the industry.

“The customer event on 21 November will be focused on how to manufacture the most cost-effective, certified range of timber windows and doors, with machine tooling and demonstrations from SCM group, as well as expert workshops from our founder partners, with advice on subjects from manufacturing to finance.”

Joinery manufacturers will be able to get specialist advice from The Joinery Network founder partners BJ Waller, Balls2 Marketing, Close Brothers, DJH Group Ltd, Fiscale, Leitz Tooling UK, and OT Dare Joinery Consultants.

“We chose Nottingham this time as it’s a central location for joiners from the north, east, south and west to meet. We’ll also be organising an evening of networking for anyone who is staying in the city,” Owen adds.
