Soudal UK Team Completes Tough Mudder Challenge

A team of colleagues from Soudal UK recently took part in the infamous Tough Mudder 5K endurance challenge, with a course route that took them through the scenic views of Belvoir Castle, Lincolnshire.

Tough Mudder creates hardcore obstacle courses designed to test all round strength, stamina and mental grit. Tough Mudder is not a race against the clock, it is an event focussed on personal challenge and accomplishment.

Featuring 12+ teamwork-inspired obstacles crammed into the 5K course, from crawling under barbed wire and scaling slippery walls to wading through waist-deep mud, it tested every ounce of the team’s endurance, teamwork, and sense of humour. They crossed the finish line, tired, proud, and £1,000+ closer to helping an incredible local charity.

Why We Ran

The team’s goal was to raise funds for the Tamworth Wellbeing & Cancer Support Centre, a local registered charity that supports individuals and families affected by all types of cancer and other chronic illnesses.

A dedicated team of volunteers, led by the Centre Manager, work hard to help bridge the gap between clinical and home environments.

The Centre plays a vital role in the local community, offering:

  • Emotional and practical support for people of all ages
  • Services that complement medical care, including listening support and guidance
  • Activities to promote wellbeing — from complementary therapies and exercise to diet and social events
  • Resources that encourage confidence, resilience, and self-sufficiency during life’s toughest times.

UAP says firemongery “should be treated seriously”

Elliott Dawson, National Accounts Manager at UAP, explains why firemongery is more than a finishing touch.
