Second PiGs event ‘hits the spot’

Second PiGs event ‘hits the spot’

“I loves it I does! That was gert lush!”

The second People in Glazing Society AKA PiGs networking event in Bristol was another record-breaking event, with over a hundred industry supporters from across the glazing supply chain in attendance.

Taking place at a new location at Brown & Bye on 13 June, this was the third year that PiGs has hosted an event in Bristol, with each year garnering more attention from the sector.

There was also a European feel to this year’s event, with PiGs supporter Soudal bringing a contingent from its headquarters in Turnhout, Belgium.

Alongside the usual networking opportunities and chance to meet up with industry colleagues both old and new, the event also played host to the ‘Pay to Play’ Euro 24 sweepstake, with £240 raised going towards the PiGs Charity of the Year for 2024, Kelly’s Heroes.

‘Chief PiG’  Sarah Ball said of the night: “I love coming back to Bristol because I spent 13 years here. It always feels special, and having a record turnout was the icing on the cake. We couldn’t do any of this without our super event sponsors, as this puts money behind the bar to get the party started.

“The new location worked a treat despite the wind and rain thrown at us! I would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who turned up for the evening, and it was good to see some new faces. This goes to prove that the glazing sector is the best industry in the world.”

PiGs now heads to the North-East and Newcastle for the third networking event, the ‘PiGs ‘Summer Party’, on Thursday 22 August 2024.
