PiGs Newcastle 2025 brings a splash of colour to North East

Modern Joinery’s sister publication, People in Glazing Society AKA PiGs hosted its penultimate event of 2025 in Newcastle, drawing nearly 100 people from across the glazing industry to the North East.

Despite the city being covered with football fans attending the Newcastle United vs Barcelona Champions League match, the second event in Newcastle proved another huge success after its debut in 2024, once again showcasing the strength of the PiGs community.

The evening saw a fantastic turnout from professionals across the country, but the event this time had more of a local flavour, with many in the room from the North East, alongside some travelling down from Scotland to attend their very first PiGs event.

The mix of familiar faces and new connections made for a lively and engaging atmosphere, highlighting PiGs’ role in uniting people from right across the glazing supply chain.

PiGs Newcastle once again demonstrated the importance of providing an informal, welcoming platform for networking within the glazing industry.

George Lewis, Editor at PiGs, commented: “Thank you to everyone who joined us in Newcastle. To see nearly 100 people come together, many local, especially with such a big football match happening just down the road, was great.

“We’ve had such a good year at PiGs and we are always so pleased to have our regular PiGs people, who attend all of our events, alongside new ones, attend, and it is a great way to head towards our last event of the year in Manchester in November.

“But, of course, we can’t put on these events without the help of our sponsors, so a huge thank you to them. We truly appreciate your support.”

With just one more event to go before the end of the year, Newcastle marked another memorable stop on the PiGs 2025 calendar, and the team look forward to going out with a bang in Manchester on Thursday 13 November.
