PEFC UK launches new research project
PEFC UK has launched a new research project to better understand what drives, and what holds back, the uptake of PEFC and environmental certification across the UK construction sector.
PEFC UK said it wants to build a clear picture of how certification is viewed by the market, identify any misconceptions, and find out what more it can do to support those working with timber. Insights given by completing the survey will help PEFC UK improve the guidance and communication it provides to the industry.
The company says it is keen to hear from a wide range of people and organisations, including specifiers, architects, engineers, local authorities, developers, contractors, housebuilders as well as those working directly in the timber industry.
The research will begin with an online survey, followed by one-to-one interviews with those happy to share more detailed feedback.
John Kirkby, CEO of PEFC UK, said: “We’re always looking for ways to strengthen our support for the construction sector. By hearing directly from those who design, build, and specify with timber, we can make sure PEFC certification continues to meet the needs of the industry and helps promote responsible sourcing more effectively.”
If you work in or with the construction sector, PEFC UK said it would love to hear from you. All those who enter will have the chance to win a £200 Amazon voucher!
