Owen Dare Sets New PB While Representing England at Swansea Half Marathon
Owen Dare, Technical Director at The Joinery Network, has continued his outstanding 2026 season by representing England Masters at the Swansea Half Marathon, held on Sunday, 7 June, as part of the prestigious Mizuno Swansea Half Marathon event.
The race marked the third representative fixture of the season for the England Masters team, with athletes competing against selected runners from Wales, Northern Ireland and the UK Armed Forces.
Starting at the iconic Swansea Arena, the fast and scenic course took competitors through Swansea city centre, past Swansea Castle and towards the picturesque village of Mumbles on the Gower Peninsula before returning to the finish in the city centre.
Known for its flat profile and stunning coastal views, the Swansea Half Marathon once again produced impressive performances, and Owen was among the standout athletes.
Running in the England vest, he delivered an exceptional race, finishing third in the MV60 category with a time of 1:19:52. The performance earned him a new personal best and a new Witham Running Club record.
The achievement was celebrated by his club, which praised his dedication and success on the national stage.
Andy Ball, Managing Director of The Joinery Network, said: “Again, Owen has surpassed expectations. He’s getting faster and we couldn’t be more proud of his achievements.
“Representing England is a tremendous honour, and to set a personal best and club record while competing against some of the best athletes in the country is an outstanding accomplishment.”
Owen’s latest success further highlights his remarkable consistency and commitment to excellence.
