Nordtreat appoints industry veteran Craig Lovatt

Nordtreat, a supplier of sustainable fire-retardant solutions for wood construction, has appointed Craig Lovatt as Regional Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland. With over 35 years of experience in the timber, joinery, and construction sectors, Craig brings a wealth of industry expertise to his new role.

For the past six years, Craig has worked as a sales manager in industrial timber coatings at Remmers, helping customers find tailored solutions for wood protection.

Now, at Nordtreat, he will focus on expanding the company’s presence in the UK and Ireland, working closely with architects, developers, and timber manufacturers to support the growing demand for sustainable fire-safe wood construction.

Nordtreat develops bio-based, low-VOC flame retardant solutions that enable timber to meet the highest fire safety standards without compromising sustainability. As climate-neutral construction gains momentum across Europe, Nordtreat’s solutions help replace carbon-intensive materials like steel and concrete while ensuring long-term fire protection.

Craig is excited to join Nordtreat at a time when timber construction is playing a key role in decarbonising the built environment.
He said: “I’ve always been passionate about the use of timber in construction, and Nordtreat’s innovative approach to fire safety aligns perfectly with my experience. I look forward to working with customers to provide solutions that prioritize both sustainability and safety.”

Outi Kallio, CEO of Nordtreat, welcomed Craig to the team. She added: “Craig’s industry expertise and customer-focused approach make him the perfect fit to drive Nordtreat’s growth in the UK and Ireland. We are excited to strengthen our presence in these key markets.
