George Lewis, Editor of Modern Joinery News, recently attended the Biesse Solid Wood Technology Day. Here he explains what he saw throughout the day.

“Recently, I was delighted to be able to attend the Biesse Solid Wood Technology Day at the company’s Daventry HQ.

“It was great to be able to see some of the machinery up close, showcasing just some of the possibilities of working with wood.

“There were member of the Biesse team all around, providing live demonstrations. Seeing the machinery operating in real time gave visitors, including myself, a true understanding of the speed, precision and efficiency that Biesse technology can offer.

“The event also created a fantastic opportunity for networking. Conversations were great between visitors, technical experts and the Biesse team, with plenty of knowledge-sharing taking place throughout the day.

“It was also great to meet and speak to some of Biesse’s partners and customers, including Leitz Tooling, The Joinery Network and CalWin.

“Eye catching work that stood out was the newly-made wooden staircase, a Terminator wooden head. There is also a wooden football World Cup being created in time for the start of the tournament.

“Overall, it was great to be able to attend the event see Biesse’s cutting-edge technology, alongside the chance to get practical insight and meaningful industry conversations.

“It was an excellent opportunity to see where Biesse, and the industry itself is heading, and how innovation continues to drive efficiency and growth.”
