Hodgson Sealants announces transfer of Britchem business

Hodgson Sealants has confirmed that, effective 1 April 2026, the business of Britchem will transfer into the company. From this date, all Britchem activities will be delivered within the Hodgson Sealants Group.

Britchem

Britchem has been part of the Hodgson Sealants Group since its acquisition in 2022. Following a successful period of integration and collaboration between the two companies, the Group has taken the decision to consolidate Britchem’s activities within Hodgson Sealants to strengthen alignment, simplify the way the businesses operate and enhance the overall service offering to customers.

This internal transfer will streamline processes, improve coordination between sites and teams, and enhance efficiency, consistency and quality across the Group’s operations, while maintaining the trusted relationships customers value.

Customers can reportedly expect a seamless transition, with continuity at the forefront of the integration. There will be no changes to the Heckmondwike site or its existing staff.

This step is said to mark an important milestone in the continued growth and development of the business. By bringing Britchem’s expertise and resources into Hodgson Sealants, the business is reportedly well positioned to support long‑term growth and deliver enhanced value to customers across its markets.

Danielle Houghton, Hodgson Sealants Managing Director, said: “This is a natural next step for the Group and an important milestone in the evolution of our business. In recent years, we have made significant investments in our people, machinery, systems and infrastructure to strengthen how we operate and deliver even greater value for our customers.

“As a family business, our long‑term commitment remains unchanged: to put our people first, continue to innovate and provide the high standards of service and quality that our customers expect.”

The £30 million turnover company has confirmed that the transition will be carefully managed to ensure minimal disruption, with teams available to support customers throughout the process.
