Harry’s Pals named Charity of the Year by WFN

Women in Fenestration Network (WFN) has announced Harry’s Pals as its Charity of the Year, aligning with the PiGs AKA People in Glazing Society Charity Challenge tackling the Inca Trail this October.

Hayley Charlesworth, Founder of Harry’s Pals, will be attending the Professional Development Day to give insight into the charity and raise some much-needed funds including a raffle.

Hayley said: “We are absolutely delighted and deeply honoured to have been nominated as the charity benefactor for Women in Fenestration this year.

“At Harry’s Pals, we provide much-needed emotional support to parents across the country who have recently received the devastating diagnosis that their child has a life-limiting or life-threatening condition. In those first overwhelming days and months, families are often left feeling isolated, frightened and with nowhere to turn. We are a small charity trying to bridge a huge gap in support that impacts so many families, offering, professional mental health support, short breaks and an opportunity talk to families in similar situations through peer support groups.

“Harry’s Pals has been built on lived experience, which is at the heart of everything we do, ensuring parents feel heard, supported and never alone.”

Hayley added: “I am really looking forward to the Women in Fenestration event, and to meeting so many inspiring women within the glazing industry. It’s a fantastic opportunity to come together, celebrate your incredible achievements and raise vital awareness and support for Harry’s Pals.”

UAP says firemongery “should be treated seriously”

Elliott Dawson, National Accounts Manager at UAP, explains why firemongery is more than a finishing touch.
