GGF promotes Kevin Jones to Technical Director

The Glass and Glazing Federation (GGF) has strengthened its senior leadership team with the appointment of Kevin Jones as Technical Director, which is says recognises his significant contribution to the Federation and the development of its technical services.

Kevin has been a key member of the GGF team for a number of years and has played an instrumental role in the development of the Federation’s technical offering.

During that time, he has become a trusted voice across the industry, providing guidance and support on technical standards, regulations, compliance and industry best practice.

In his new role, Kevin will continue to lead the GGF’s technical team, overseeing the delivery of technical support, guidance, training and industry engagement.

He will continue to report directly to GGF Director Lauren Mawford and remain a member of the Federation Senior Management Team.

Lauren Mawford, Director of the GGF, said: “Kevin’s promotion is a reflection of the outstanding contribution he has made to the Federation and our members over a number of years.

“His technical expertise, leadership and commitment to supporting the industry have been instrumental in strengthening the services we provide and ensuring members have access to the guidance and support they need during a period of significant change.

“Kevin is highly respected both within the Federation and across the wider industry. I am delighted to appoint him as Technical Director and look forward to continuing to work closely with him as we build on the excellent work of our technical team and continue supporting our members.”

Kevin’s appointment reportedly comes at a time when businesses across the glass and glazing industry are navigating major regulatory and technical change, including the Future Homes Standard, construction product reform and evolving compliance requirements.

Commenting on his appointment, Kevin said: “I am incredibly proud to take on the role of Technical Director.

“The technical team plays an important role in supporting our members and the wider industry, and I look forward to continuing to work closely with Lauren, the Senior Management Team and colleagues across the Federation as we help businesses navigate change, raise standards and prepare for the future.”
