CiiLOCK Engineering supports Gingerbread Family Support Centre

CiiLOCK Engineering supports Gingerbread Family Support Centre

In June, CiiLOCK Engineering made another donation to The Gingerbread Family Support Centre, continuing its commitment to supporting vulnerable families within the local community.

Marketing Specialist, Katie Wilson, packed her car with toys, books, food, and baby essentials before delivering them to the charity’s Stoke-on-Trent centre, where she was welcomed by Gingerbread Fundraiser Steph Bradbury.

During the visit, Steph explained that both the main family accommodation centre and the young parents’ centre are currently at full capacity.

Katie said that even more concerning, families in need of secure, supported accommodation are now facing a waiting list of more than a year.

The Gingerbread Family Support Centre is the only centre in the UK that can provide vital accommodation and support for homeless and vulnerable families with children.

Alongside safe housing, the charity runs an Activity Club, giving children the opportunity to play, learn and enjoy themselves despite their situation.

Adults are offered practical support, guidance and educational opportunities, helping them rebuild their confidence, develop new skills, and prepare for independent living.

The Support Centre receives no dedicated government funding and relies heavily on financial donations, as well as gifts of food, clothing, toys, and essential household items from generous supporters.

CiiLOCK Engineering has supported The Gingerbread Family Support Centre for more than two years.

Katie commented: “Giving back to the community is so important, and we’re incredibly proud, as a team, to support Gingerbread and the life-changing work they do for local families.”

The company is already collecting items for its next donation.

Katie added: “We’re always collecting items for future deliveries. If you have toys, books, food, baby essentials or other items that could benefit the centre, we’d love to hear from you. Please get in touch and I’ll be happy to arrange collection or delivery.”
