Still going strong at 70
Mumford & Wood, a timber window and door manufacturer, is marking its 70th anniversary in 2024. The company has won several industry awards, including Timber Company of the Year. It will also exhibit at the 30th London Homebuilding & Renovating Show. The company recently achieved Carbon Neutral + status.
A mixed bag for timber imports in 2024
Timber import volumes for the first half of 2024 were 3.6% lower than in 2023, but monthly figures suggest a decreasing deficit. With potential market improvement in Q3 and Q4, 2024 may meet or slightly exceed the previous year. The Construction Products Association forecasts growth in 2025 after an estimated 11% decrease in 2024.
