Balls2 Marketing Director goes the extra mile for charity

Putting her best foot forward, Katie Bregazzi, Board Director at Balls2 Marketing, has taken part in the Derby Race for Life, raising £575 for Cancer Research UK.

Katie took part in the race during a week that marked ten years since she lost her dad to stomach cancer. More than tripling what she was hoping to raise in just 48 hours, with every step she honoured his memory and even ran in one of his t-shirts.

“Running in the Cancer Research UK Race for Life felt like the perfect way to turn a tough week into something positive. Plus, who doesn’t love a bit of jog-gernaut action for a good cause!”

Balls2 Marketing has always encouraged its team to go the extra mile – and Katie did just that, quite literally. She was even joined by Joint-Managing Director, Sarah Ball for the run, showing that when it comes to fighting cancer, every step counts.

Katie added: “I’m over the moon with the support, it’s been a decade since we lost Dad, but seeing everyone come together like this feels like a victory lap in his honour. A huge thank you to everyone who donated – we are making a difference in this fight, even if it’s a small one.”

For those who missed the chance to donate, the fundraiser page is still open, proving that it’s never too late to join the race against cancer:

Keep an eye out for Katie’s next adventure – rumour has it, she’s considering a half-marathon. But don’t worry, she promises not to go too far, too fast – unless there’s a good pun in it.

You can still donate to Cancer Research via Katie’s fundraising page here: Katie’s Race for Life (cancerresearchuk.org)

UAP says firemongery “should be treated seriously”

Elliott Dawson, National Accounts Manager at UAP, explains why firemongery is more than a finishing touch.
