David Salisbury Joinery promotes Barney Bell to Managing Director

David Salisbury Joinery has strengthened its leadership team with the promotion of Barney Bell to Managing Director and the appointment of Helen Salisbury as Installations and Customer Service Director.

The appointments come as the Somerset-based specialist continues to develop its position in the premium home improvement market, with bespoke timber orangeries and conservatories at the heart of the business alongside its luxury kitchen offering.

Barney joined David Salisbury in 2017 as Marketing Manager, bringing experience from the luxury kitchen and interiors sector.

During his time with the company, he has helped shape its brand and market presence, while more recently overseeing the development of its kitchen business.

As Managing Director, he will now take responsibility for the wider business, building on the foundations established over more than 40 years.

Barney said: “I’m proud to take on the role of Managing Director at a company with such a strong reputation for craftsmanship, design and customer care.

“David Salisbury has built its success around understanding what people want from their homes and then bringing those ideas to life in wood. I’m looking forward to building on that heritage while taking the business into its next chapter.”

Helen Salisbury has been promoted from Head of Installations and Customer Service to join the board as Installations and Customer Service Director.

Her new role brings installation operations and the customer journey together at senior level, reflecting the importance David Salisbury places on the experience that follows every sale.

Chairman, David Salisbury, said: “Barney and Helen have both made a significant contribution to the business and these appointments recognise that.

“Barney brings a strong understanding of our markets and where the business can go next, while Helen has an excellent understanding of our customers and what it takes to deliver a project well. They bring complementary strengths to the leadership team.”

Barney and Helen join Sales Director Karen Bell and Manufacturing Director Andrew Clarke on the company’s senior leadership team.
