MACO joins BWF to support UK timber sector

MACO has announced that it has become an Associate Member of the British Woodworking Federation (BWF) for 2026, which is said to reinforce its commitment to supporting the UK’s timber manufacturing and joinery sectors.

Working closely with timber manufacturers, joinery specialists and system partners, MACO has developed a comprehensive hardware portfolio designed specifically for timber applications.

The range is engineered to deliver high levels of performance, security and long-term durability while preserving the craftsmanship and character that define timber windows and doors.

As demand for high-quality, sustainable timber products continues to grow, MACO sees its BWF membership as an important opportunity to strengthen relationships across the sector, share technical expertise and contribute to industry discussions that help shape the future of timber construction.

Jemma Brookes, Head of Product Management at MACO, said: “Rejoining the BWF is a natural step for us.

“Timber has its own set of challenges and opportunities, and being part of the Federation allows us to stay closely aligned with the industry as we continue to develop hardware solutions specifically designed for timber applications.”

Following its recent 40th anniversary celebrations, MACO remains focused on supporting the future of the joinery and timber sectors.

The milestone is said to reflect four decades of partnership with manufacturers across the UK and Ireland, alongside an ongoing commitment to developing hardware solutions that meet the demands of modern timber fabrication.

The business also works closely with customers to understand changing market requirements and emerging trends, ensuring that product development remains aligned with the needs of fabricators, specifiers and end users.

By rejoining the BWF, MACO says it aims to further strengthen its support for the timber sector, collaborate with manufacturers across the supply chain and contribute to the continued growth and innovation of the industry.
