VBH’s Allan Price set for retirement

VBH has announced that Allan Price, the company’s General Manager for Scotland and Northern Ireland, has decided to take retirement in December.

Allan joined VBH in January 1989, with responsibility for customers in the West of Scotland and in Northern Ireland.

His dry wit and straight-talking style reportedly endeared him to his new customers, and as time progressed, he built up an impressive technical knowledge surrounding windows and doors and, of course, the hardware required to open, close, and lock them.

With tilt and turn windows so popular in Scotland, Allan quickly became one of VBH’s TBT hardware specialists, particularly on the Roto and, more recently, AGB brands.

In addition to his sales duties, Allan also manages the activities at VBH’s depot in East Kilbride, where he has assembled over the years what VBH describes as a top team of people who provide excellent service to East Kilbride’s customers.

Allan hands over the role of General Manager – Scotland & Northern Ireland to Pamela Paterson, who is also a VBH long-server, with 24 years’ service to her name.

Victoria Woods, who joined VBH in 2024 in the position of Regional Sales Manager as part of Allan’s succession plan, takes over the main sales activities in Scotland.

George Stirling, VBH’s External Technical Sales Engineer based in the central belt, is ideally placed to provide practical technical support for the company’s customers.

VBH explained that, during his 37 years at the company, Allan has become well respected and loved by his friends and colleagues at VBH and throughout the industry at large, and the entire VBH team wishes him the very best for a long, fun, and healthy retirement.
