Ecoglass scoops Glass Company of the Year G Award

After being nominated for three awards, Ecoglass were successful at the 2025 G Awards, winning the Glass Company of the Year award.

As industry colleagues descended on London at the end November for the Awards, the Ecoglass team were said to be gearing up for something truly special, with this being the first time they had ever submitted entries.

Ecoglass were finalists in three categories: Glass Company of the Year, Rising Star for Craig Hopper, and Unsung Hero for Colin Sturdy.

Between joy, stunned disbelief and immense pride, Ecoglass was said to have not only put their best foot forward, but they had cemented their place as a company ready to grow and lead.

‘It’s only the beginning’

Mark High, Company Director, joined Ecoglass in April 2024 and has since been responsible for refining the company’s direction, focus and output.

He said: “When I joined Ecoglass, I knew the company and its people were something special. This award is a testament to the dedication, talent and resilience shown by our team every single day, and it’s only the beginning. We’ve got grand ambitions for our people, products and customers in 2026, and this award truly is a marker to celebrate the legacy of who we are as we step into the future of what we’ll become.”

Throughout 2025, Ecoglass has been focused on amplifying its voice within the industry and strengthening its role in the local community, through charitable initiatives and sustainability-led partnerships, to dedicated customer account support.

One example is the company’s recent involvement with Rippleacts, a Norwich-based social enterprise supporting individuals who have faced long-term unemployment. Ecoglass contributed to the charity’s Employers’ Brunch in October, participating in open discussions aimed at rebuilding confidence and supporting pathways back into work.

The company has also strengthened its customer relationships through enhanced account management and sustainability-led operational changes spearheaded by Craig Hopper, Key Account Manager. These efforts have improved service levels, reduced the company’s carbon footprint, and deepened collaboration with local businesses.

Additionally, the appointment of Ian Snow as Estimating and Technical Support Manager marks another step in Ecoglass’s continuous improvement journey. In 2026, the company will introduce dedicated customer training to help clients better understand technical specification and product performance.

Pride and Legacy

Joint Managing Director Roger Middleton shared his pride in the recognition: He said: “This award reflects the unity of our people, culture, and commitment to doing things the right way. For us, success has always come from a combination of quality, service, and genuine care, these values have shaped Ecoglass for over 75 years and will continue to do so for years to come.”

The Glass Company of the Year award is said to stand as a celebration of the firm’s legacy, its people, and its unwavering commitment to going the extra mile for customers, the community and the wider industry.
