Arbortec Launches Breatheflex Pro Female Range

Arbortec Launches Breatheflex Pro Female Range

Arbortec has launched a new range of clothing designed especially for women, creating the Breatheflex Pro Women’s Chainsaw Trousers and Full Zip Waterproof Jacket.

For decades, women in arboriculture have had to compromise with workwear designed for men—gear that often failed to support their movement, comfort, and safety.

But as the industry evolves and more women take their place in the canopy—climbing, cutting, and leading—the need for purpose-built apparel has never been clearer.

Arbortec said it was proud to answer that call with the launch of the Breatheflex Pro Women’s Chainsaw Trousers and Full Zip Waterproof Jacket: the first garments in a range designed by women, for women. This isn’t a resized version of a unisex product—it’s a ground-up reimagining of what professional workwear should be, engineered specifically for female arborists.

Designed with Purpose, Built with Precision

The new female-fit Breatheflex Pro trousers are available in hi-vis orange and black, with both Design A and Design C options. They’re joined by a Full Zip Waterproof Jacket in matching hi-vis orange, creating a complete collection that prioritizes protection, durability, and comfort—without compromise.

What reportedly sets this range apart is its origin. Every garment was shaped by feedback from professional female arborists across the globe and crafted by our female-led team in Portugal. From the first sketch to the final stitch, lived experience informed every decision.

“Designed by women, for women” isn’t just a slogan—it’s the foundation of a collection that finally puts female arborists at the centre of the design process.

Listening, Testing, Refining: The Journey to Launch

Bringing this range to life was a two-year commitment to doing things right. Across seven rounds of development, Arbortec created and refined 49 sample pairs of trousers, tested by 39 wearers in real-world conditions. Every seam, panel, and fit was scrutinised to ensure the final product wasn’t just functional—it was transformative.

A key partner in this journey was Forestry England. As the UK’s largest land manager, their team provided invaluable wear testing, insights, and lived experience. Their commitment to inclusivity and innovation made them the ideal collaborator in shaping gear that reflects the realities of modern forestry work.

Together, we didn’t just build trousers and jackets—we built trust, representation, and a better future for women in arboriculture.

Why Female-Fit Workwear Matters

The difference between “making do” and “made for” is profound. With women’s bodies considered from the design stage, every product in the Breatheflex Pro Women’s Range offers:

  • Better comfort: No more bunching or oversized waistbands.
  • Improved mobility: Stretch fabrics and tailored cuts that move with you.
  • Professional fit: Gear that looks as good as it performs.

By creating workwear that truly fits, Arbortec is helping female arborists feel confident, supported, and respected in their gear—day in and day out.

A Milestone for the Industry

This launch marks more than a product release—it’s a turning point for arboriculture. From the AT4060(F) Black Chainsaw Trousers to the ATHV4420(F) Waterproof Jacket, every piece is built to help women perform at their best.

And this is just the beginning. Arbortec is committed to expanding and refining our women’s line, ensuring that every arborist—regardless of gender—has access to the highest standards in safety, comfort, and performance.

Ready to Make the Switch?

If you’re a woman in arboriculture, this range was built for you. No more compromises. No more making do. Just professional-grade protection and performance, tailored to your body and your work.
