Leitz Tooling Unveils New UK-made Router Cutters

Leitz Tooling UK has recently launched a new range of UK-made router cutters, engineered for the British market, which will be on show at the upcoming Professional Woodworking Expo (PWE) 2026.

Produced using high-grade solid carbide at the Leitz Harlow facility, these router cutters combine German engineering with British craftmanship.

Blending tried and tested geometries from the global Leitz range with new innovations, these routers offer improved tool life, productivity and finish quality when used on panel materials. The new UK-made range includes over 450+ router cutters for almost every application from furniture & joinery production to fire door assembly and window manufacturing.

To lead this new product range, Leitz UK have also developed a new router cutter called G-TEC, designed for high quality finishes at high feed speeds

The G-TEC router is a workhorse that has been engineered for flexibility across workpiece materials. Manufactured with specially formulated carbide, the G-TEC offers increased resistance to chemical attack and wear.

This makes it the ultimate nesting solution for acidic or tough materials like Accoya and it can handle a high volume of mixed material panels before needing sharpening.

The G-Tec is also designed for high feed speeds of up to 30m/min-1, enabling increased productivity for the vast majority of panel processing operations.

Harry Mansworth, Managing Director of Sevenoaks CNC commented on the G-TEC, saying: “Since putting a G-Tec in a shrink fit, we’ve seen a +50% increase in the number of boards we can cut before sending it back in for servicing. This cutter had well over 240 mixed material boards cut before it went in for its first sharpen compared to under 100 boards with our previous tool.”

Brian Maddox, Leitz National Sales manager, added: “The feedback from the market on the G-TEC has been incredible. We spent a lot of time tweaking this design, so hearing about its impact on our customers’ productivity has been very rewarding.”
