The Timber Zone says FIT Show 2025 was a success

The Timber Zone at FIT Show saw partners, members and affiliates from The Joinery Network come together to create a comprehensive stand for visitors to the show looking at timber windows and doors.

The stand, right next to the Installer Demo area, where daily demos of manufacturing TJN’s window system Lignum were performed by Owen Dare. These attracted many visitors looking to add timber.

“Adding timber was the most common request from visitors,” said Andy Ball, Director at TJN. “No one wants to miss sales opportunities, and having access to timber means all enquiries can be followed up. Our growing network of more than 50 Lignum manufacturers across the UK, means we can supply windows easily to installation companies who want to add timber. We are also adding more manufacturers to increase capacity nationwide.”

Also on the stand were TJN partners and affiliates including Centor, Teknos, Leitz, Gutmann, Precision Carpentry and Joinery, PassivGlas, JFJ Wood Flooring and EWH Manufacturing Group.

An impressive stand

Andy added: “The PassivGlas’ demo unit shows the difference between vacuum glazing, single glazing, double glazing with an aluminium spacer bar, and A rated double glazing. Inside there’s a heater that simulates an internal room temperature and people can feel the difference between the different glass types on the outside. It doesn’t get more impressive than that!

“The team at PassivGlas were on hand to discuss how vacuum glazing can be used in many glazing projects including heritage, reglazing and roofs to bring top levels of thermal performance.”

The exhibitors on TJN’s Timber Zone reported FIT Show 2025 a success and were pleased with the number of fabricators and installers interested in adding timber to grow their businesses. TJN will be back at FIT Show in 2027!
