Testament to their success

Testament to their success

Steve Spittly of Spittlywood, a bespoke joiner from Kent, has lauded the Mentor 2 Freedom programme, created by Erin Woodger to help business owners gain invaluable insights and a detailed roadmap to achieve professional goals.

In a recent testimonial, Steve explained that he has been working with Erin Woodger for six months.

Over that time period, Erin Wooder has begun to capture and track key pieces of data which Steve now uses to make crucial decisions in business.

Erin explained more here: “On the face of it, Steve had a set of numbers he used that weren’t always accurate and didn’t reflect the position of the business. In curating the right numbers and ensuring the data is correct, he has now taken his net profit from 10% to 25% in a short six months.

“In a fast-paced business it’s easy to just base decisions on gut feel at the time, reacting to whatever is happening on a particular day. Decisions are now based firmly in the numbers and this mindset shift is now paying dividends…literally!

“Steve has begun to hand over some of the work that he was proving to be a ‘bottle neck’ in; training and delegating to key members of his team and beginning the recruitment process where existing skills are not already in-house”.

Erin went on to explain that these changes have now seen an increase in Steve’s profits and has freed him up to look ahead and prepare for the future rather than fighting fires.

The complete testimonial from Steve can be seen below.

“Since working with Mentor 2 Freedom, my business has transformed in ways I never thought possible. Our turnover and net profit have both increased significantly, and even after covering the cost of the mentoring, we’re making more money than we did last year. For the first time, I have a production manager who takes full ownership of the workshop’s day-to-day operations. I now have accurate numbers I can trust, allowing me to make informed decisions.

“I have a clear plan to grow my turnover from 600K to 1M in the next 12 months, and my mindset about the business has completely changed. I now understand the power of following up and having a structured sales process. With a solid financial plan in place, I’ve been able to make strategic decisions, such as hiring an office employee to take on tasks that I either don’t enjoy or am not particularly skilled at.

“We’ve begun systemising the business, and I can finally see a path to creating a well-oiled machine that will run smoothly without me. Mentor 2 Freedoms mentoring has kept me on track, helping me make progress every month. Even after factoring in the mentoring costs, my business is improving and generating better results every month. I now have a team I trust to bounce ideas off and talk things through. I couldn’t be happier with the results!”
