Hands-on Discovery Day to help joinery businesses flourish
Joinery professionals and woodworking businesses are invited to a practical, hands-on discovery day at Markfield Woodworking Machinery on Wednesday 15 July. The event is designed to promote the UK production of high-performance timber windows and doors.
The event will bring together industry-leading expertise and technology to manufacture TJN’s LIGNUM system, a full suite of timber windows and doors, with precision tooling from Leitz, and advanced machinery from Markfield Woodworking Machinery.
Visitors will experience a full day of live demonstrations, technical insight and open discussion, including live machining on MARTIN spindle moulders and Vertongen tenoners, alongside LIGNUM timber window manufacturing in action.
The day will also cover tooling best practice for precision and performance, provide access to a comprehensive woodworking machinery showroom, and offer practical guidance on simplifying and scaling production.
In addition, visitors will gain key updates on compliance requirements and upcoming regulations, explore ways to improve profitability and business growth, and have the opportunity to network and talk with industry experts.
Andy Ball, Managing Director of The Joinery Network, will be attending as the event’s spokesperson. Commenting on the importance of the day, he said: “Joinery businesses are under increasing pressure to deliver certified, high-performance products while remaining efficient and profitable.”
Brian Maddox, Sales Manager at Leitz Tooling UK, added: “This event is about showing, in practical terms, how manufacturers can adopt proven systems and processes to not only meet those demands, but to scale with confidence. It’s an opportunity to see what ‘good’ looks like, and how to achieve it.”
Tickets are priced at £5 per person, with all proceeds donated to Harry’s Pals, TJN’s Charity of the Year. Harry’s Pals is a Daventry-based charity providing emotional support for parents of children with severe illness or disability. MD Andy is also trekking the Inca Trail in October to raise much needed funds for the charity.
