Why carpenters and joiners should visit InstallerSHOW 2026
Carpenters and joiners heading to InstallerSHOW 2026 will reportedly find more than ever before, through the co-location of the Professional Woodworking Expo, and dedicated content and demos throughout both events.
InstallerSHOW itself will bring together more than 40,000 visitors and 900 exhibitors across heating, electrical, kitchens and bathrooms, renewables, construction and interiors. The addition of Professional Woodworking Expo (PWE) is said to highlight the link between specialist woodworking trades and the wider construction supply chain, reflecting how projects are delivered on site in practice.
PWE is the UK’s only dedicated trade show for woodworking and joinery professionals. The event will showcase machinery, tooling, timber products, software, finishes and manufacturing systems aimed at everyone from independent joiners to large-scale furniture and fit-out manufacturers.
Live demos
One of the strongest attractions for tradespeople will reportedly be the live demonstrations. PWE has four dedicated demo zones where visitors can see timber processing, carpentry techniques and timber-frame window manufacturing in action.
For installers and joiners who prefer hands-on learning rather than static displays, these practical sessions are likely to be a major draw. Robin Clevett is running the Carpentry Skills Hub, with a team helping to build a roof structure and a staircase – with apprentices from local colleges working alongside the experts in a live learning environment..
The educational programme is also aimed squarely at working professionals. The PWE Mainstage will host seminars on workflow efficiency, business strategy and advanced woodworking techniques, while InstallerSHOW is continuing its programme of CPD-accredited talks and technical sessions, plus advice on growing a successful business in the TradesTalk theatre.
This crossover will reportedly be particularly useful for those increasingly working across kitchens, bathrooms, retrofit and energy-efficiency projects, where coordination with other trades has become essential.
Innovation
There is also a strong focus on innovation and productivity. Exhibitors will demonstrate CNC machinery, cutting systems, digital manufacturing software, tooling solutions and sustainable materials designed to improve speed, accuracy and profitability. As tighter margins continue to affect the sector, many visitors will be looking for technologies that help reduce waste and improve output.
Whether working on kitchens, commercial interiors, retrofit projects or bespoke residential work, today’s woodworking professionals increasingly collaborate with electricians, plumbers, HVAC installers and decorators. InstallerSHOW 2026 and Professional Woodworking Expo will mirror that real-world integration – bringing every stage of the build, from first fix to final finish, under one roof.
Tools, products and big brands
As you’d expect from InstallerSHOW, there will be plenty to see when it comes to tools, product launches and big brands. The Brand Ambassador Hub – sponsored by ITS – will bring together some of social media’s best known tradespeople who will be talking about their favourite tools.
Plus, visitors can chat to brands including Milwaukee, Blaklader Workwear, Howdens, edding UK, Dart Tool Group, Ox Tools, Wren Kitchens, Toolstation, Bott, BIFIS, Button-fix, EGGER UK, Hanson Plywood, Mapei UK, MKM Building Supplies, Trend Tool Technology and many more.
