VBH’s Mark Frain gears up again for charity Push Up Challenge

Mark Frain, National Business Development Manager at VBH, is once again taking on the Push Up Challenge, aiming to do a total of 2,000 push-ups in 23 days.

Mark is taking on the task to raise money for Samaritans, after losing a close friend to suicide last year and having also dealt with his own mental health issues in the past.

He said: “Sadly, last year, my best friend took his own life after struggling with mental health issues, while I have also struggled personally in the past.

“But thanks to my wife and local GP intervention I was able to overcome my struggles, but sadly I am one of the lucky ones. Men seem incapable of discussing their issues until sometimes it’s too late.

“The Samaritans are a vital service for people to get in touch with when in mental crisis, therefore it was important to me to do this challenge to raise money for this worthy cause.

“I did a similar challenge a couple of years ago and boy it is proving tough, but I know I can do it.

“Any donations however small are truly welcome.”

All proceeds enable Samaritans to answer more calls for help from those at crisis point or feeling suicidal.
