TJN Celebrates Owen Dare’s Marathon Successes for England

The Joinery Network (TJN) is celebrating the outstanding achievements of its Director Owen Dare, who recently completed two world-class marathons on consecutive weekends representing England in both events and achieving exceptional personal milestones.

On 13 October, Owen took on the prestigious Chicago Marathon, where he delivered a stunning performance, finishing in an incredible 2 hours, 51 minutes, and 21 seconds, smashing his personal best.

Reflecting on the experience, Owen said: “Chicago Marathon done and what a day. Weather was perfect, not too hot but sunny. Set off easy and then built into the race. Got my set goal pace and smashed the hell out of my PB and finished in 2hrs 51mins 21 seconds. Just amazed that I keep improving but now resting as got the next instalment next weekend running for England in Oxfordshire, that is if my legs recover!”

Then, just a week later, on 21 October, Owen represented England once again in the Abingdon Marathon in Oxfordshire. Owen’s legs had recovered, despite the short recovery and he delivered another exceptional performance, completing the race in 2 hours, 56 minutes, and 43 seconds, and finishing as the 3rd England M60 finisher, an incredible achievement following his Chicago success.

Owen shared: “It was a proud moment at my age running out in the red and white. This was seven days after running a Personal Best in Chicago, so it was never going to be easy, but I managed to come 3rd England M60 finisher and another Sub 3 hours in 2 hours, 56 minutes, and 43 seconds. A great day all-round though my legs need a well-earned rest!”

Andy Ball, fellow Director at The Joinery Network, said: “Owen’s dedication, resilience, and commitment are an inspiration to everyone at The Joinery Network. His determination both on and off the course reflects the passion and drive we value as a business. We couldn’t be prouder of his incredible achievements.”

The Joinery Network congratulates Owen on these fantastic results, and wishes him a well-deserved rest before his next challenge representing England is in Swansea on 7 June 2026.
