TDUK Annual Award Winners Announced
Seven award winners were crowned at Timber Development UK’s (TDUK) Annual Awards Dinner on 5 November.
More than 400 members of the timber supply chain came together to network, learn and celebrate in an evening featuring a five-star service, a three-course meal, and seven award winners.
“Shining a spotlight on those special companies and individuals who go above and beyond in their service to the timber industry is one of the roles we are most proud of as an organisation,” said David Hopkins, Chief Executive of Timber Development UK.
“There is so much incredible talent, passion and dedication right across our industry, much of which goes under the radar. These seven awards, including two special awards we were proud to issue last night, help bring to light the accomplishments of our members.”
The winners were:
Regional Association of the Year Award
West Timber Trade Association (WTTA) – In recognition of their continued efforts to enhance value for members through regular guest speakers and industry-relevant events, helping to inform members on key issues such as credit insurance and the EUDR.
Sustainability Award
BSW Group – For driving forward net zero in the UK timber industry through sustainable forestry, decarbonisation, and innovation – with a 30% reduction in total annual emissions since 2021. They continue to impress through their investment into data, technology, innovation, electrification and renewables, along with the circular economy.
Equality & Diversity Award
Women in Timber (WIT) – To recognise the vision and momentum WIT has built over the past six months, culminating in a conference in Leeds which is set to become an annual calendar highlight for many in the industry – with big plans to deliver even more in 2026.
Training and Apprenticeship Award
Metsä – They have shown a total commitment to the future of the sector, with training initiatives at all levels including an engineering apprenticeship, leadership development, and future leaders programme – all helping to foster and grow talent through which both themselves and whole sector benefits.
Long Service Award
Andrew Jackson, UPM Plywood – For more than 35 years Andrew has delivered outstanding technical excellence and committed service to industrial and distribution customers, as well as end users, for all products within the UPM Group – as a true technical leader in the field.
Service to Industry
Shaun Revill, SR Timber – A third generation roofer, whose passion for grading, quality, regulation and robust enforcement is well respected throughout the industry since founding his own business over 20 years ago he has been a key pillar in education and leading the entire supply chain on product standards.
Distinguished Service Award
Nick Boulton, Timber Development UK – This special, discretionary award was given to Nick to recognise his more than 25 years of dedication and lasting contributions to the timber industry, which continues to strengthen the entire industry. He continues to be a key source of knowledge on all matters timber, whether technical, product, or trade related.
