Mumford & Wood, a manufacturer of timber windows and doors, is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2024.

The company has won three industry awards in the past year and is also due to exhibit at stand F161 at the 30th anniversary London Homebuilding & Renovating Show. The show is due to take place from 27 to 29 September at ExCeL London.

Last year the company won Timber Company of the Year at the National Fenestration Awards. According to a statement, these awards celebrate companies and individuals across the UK and organisations are nominated, shortlisted and awarded by public vote.

The company has also won two awards from BUILD magazine, including Best High-Quality Timber Windows & Door Manufacturer 2024 (in the Home Builder category) and Best Premium Timber Windows and Doors Supplier 2024 (in the Construction and Engineering Awards).

After achieving Carbon Neutral status in 2022, the company achieved Carbon Neutral + status this year, awarded when an organisation has calculated its greenhouse gas emissions and offset all emissions plus an extra 10% on top.

Matthew Blaylock, Mumford & Wood’s Commercial Director, said: “Our 70th year is turning out to be a remarkable one for the company. As a premium timber window and door manufacturer, quality is at the forefront of everything we do. From our careful selection of premium grade FSC timber, investment in precision machinery and employing the best joiners, we make every effort to produce outstanding products that stand the test of time.”
