Shooting event raises £7,300 for industry charity

The Furniture Makers Company’s latest event, Northern Big Shots, has helped raise £7,300 for the industry charity.

Organised by the charity’s North West Region, the annual clay pigeon shoot was once again held at the Catton Hall Shooting Ground in Frodsham, Cheshire.

Fifteen teams took part in the popular industry fundraiser.

After a spirited competition in the unseasonably warm weather, the more than 60 guests enjoyed lunch before a charity auction and raffle.

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO at The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “Northern Big Shots has established itself as a fantastic fundraising and networking event in the north of England, thanks to the hard work of our North West Region. The money raised from the event will enable us to continue supporting people’s welfare, educating for the future and inspiring excellence.”

Phil Hopkins, Chairman of the North West Region, said: “I would like to thank all our sponsors and attendees for supporting Northern Big Shots, which raised a significant amount for our industry charity. We have a number of fun social events planned for the future so if you are based in the North West, please do consider joining us at one of them – everyone from the industry is welcome.”
