Fire Glass UK crafts community spirit with handmade mud kitchens

Sam Hawthorn, Operations Manager at Fire Glass UK, recently shared a heart-warming moment on LinkedIn that caught the eye of Modern Joinery News’ very own Sarah Ball, with an employee creating mud kitchens from scrap wood.

In her post, Sam praised Fire Glass UK team member Kevin for turning scrap wood into something truly special, a set of handmade play mud kitchens for a local school in need of new playground equipment.

“A little something we’ve been working on that turned out pretty amazing,” Sam shared. “Our talented employee Kevin built these play mud kitchens out of scrap wood for a local school that needed new playground equipment, and we think they are awesome! Always lovely to help out with our local community where we can.”

What a fantastic example of craftsmanship, sustainability, and community spirit in action.
