FDM celebrate winning Training Provider of the Year Award

FDM Training & Development has been named Training Provider of the Year at the 2025 Fire & Security Matters Awards.

FDM says the award is a huge honour, and recognition of the hard work, innovation, and passion that drives the team every day.

A Night to Remember

Held in celebration of excellence across the fire and security industries, the FSM Awards shine a light on organisations and individuals making real impact. For FDM, it said the win is more than just a trophy, it’s a milestone in its mission to transform standards, culture, and professionalism across the fire door industry.

FDM Managing Director, Nicola John, and a number of team members were in attendance to accept the award and celebrate the evening with peers and industry leaders. The atmosphere was said to be electric — and the pride among the team was unmistakable.

Driven by Purpose

FDM says it’s committed to much more than just training delivery. Its work is rooted in creating meaningful cultural change — challenging outdated practices, raising awareness, and equipping professionals with the qualifications, confidence, and insight to deliver safer built environments.

The company says behind this award is a team of incredible individuals who work with drive, purpose, and creativity to turn bold ideas into impactful results. It provided a special thank you to team members Dan Cope, Sara Richardson, Logan Harrison, Ivelin Mickey Ignatov, Shaun Smith, Kieran Percival, Steve Roberts, Duncan Brickhill, and Mark Helliwell — and to Nicola John, whose leadership continues to inspire.

What’s Next for FDM?

Exciting new qualifications, partnerships, and initiatives are in development behind the scenes — all designed to raise the bar for fire door training, fire safety culture, and professional standards across the industry.

As FDM celebrates this win, it remains focused on the future. This award is said to reflect what the company has achieved — but more importantly, it motivates the team to keep pushing forward.

Thank You

FDM would like to thank everyone who has supported its journey — clients, learners, partners, and colleagues — thank you.

“Here’s to continued progress, collaboration, and change.”
