Dyke McKenzie joins Kirkwood Timber Frame

Aberdeenshire-based Kirkwood Timber Frame has bolstered its team with the appointment of Dyke McKenzie as its new Business Development Manager.

Dyke, from Dundee, reportedly brings over 30 years of experience to the role, having worked in various positions within the sector – and in locations across the UK – beginning his career in manufacture before moving into sales and business development roles.

Through these positions with notable construction and timber companies, he has supported businesses working across the housing, health care and education sectors – including around the development of student accommodation.

“I’m excited to join Kirkwood Timber Frame and look forward to supporting the team by getting out there, building relationships and using my knowledge, experience and contacts to help the business grow,” said Dyke.

“Despite the construction industry experiencing a difficult period at present, there is huge potential in the timber frame sector. I believe that Kirkwood has positioned itself well to capitalise on this opportunity.”

Malcolm Thomson, Managing Director with Kirkwood Timber Frame, added: “I’m sure Dyke will be a great addition to our business. He is an experienced and results driven Business Development Manager with an exceptional track record in developing new client business and strategies for growth.”

Kirkwood Timber Frame manufactures custom designed, precision engineered timber frame systems for developers, contractors, housing associations, private and public institutions and self-build customers.

With the capability and capacity to deliver timber frame for around 2,000 units per year, the business says it is a key supplier to the Scottish construction Industry.

The company’s FastBuild products help customers speed up their build programmes – saving time, resources and financial outlay. These products are also integral to creating buildings that are energy efficient and more sustainable to build.
