A celebratory feeling for Leitz UK

Leitz Tooling UK is in celebratory mood as it was announced as the winner of the innovation & excellence award from Corporate Live Wire, whilst also shortlisted as a finalist for the product innovation category for the upcoming Structural Timber Awards in October.

The Corporate Live Wire Innovation & Excellence Awards celebrate the success and achievements of leading professionals and companies who have stood out for being results driven, service focused and most importantly, taken an innovative approach to demonstrate exceptional business performance.

The judging panel was said to have been particularly impressed by the extensive range of precision tools developed by Leitz UK, which has ensured a diverse range of manufactures large and small benefit from its expertise.

Leitz Tooling UK’s collection ranges from cutting and profiling tools to clamping systems and sawblades; all of which feature an innovative design and precision quality that delivers the highest standard of manufacturing.

Leitz has proven over the years that their products are always built to last whilst also offering further assurances by testing them independently according to BS EN 847, an international safety standard.

It hopes to follow up the Corporate Live Wire award with a Structural Timber award.

Leitz has been named as a finalist in the Product Innovation Award for its HeliCut Monoblock tool, which was first presented at the Materials & Finishes Show (MAFS) earlier this year.

Taking the concept of shrink fit collets chucks one step further, the HeliCut Monoblock tool boasts a monolithic design, making it very stable and dampening vibrations for lower noise and longer tool life.

It is equipped with 4-sided turnblade knives for fast knife changes and reduced downtime. It can be used for various applications such as drilling holes, pockets, tenons and rebates in perfect quality.

The winners will be announced at the STA event on 2 October.
