PiGs lands Leading Glazing Industry Professional Network award

Modern Joinery News’ sister publication, PiGs AKA People in Glazing Society, is celebrating after being named the 2026 Design & Build Awards Leading Glazing Industry Professional Network 2026 – UK winner by BUILD Magazine.

The award recognises PiGs’ continued work for the last 22 years in bringing together professionals from across the glazing and fenestration industry through its programme of networking events.

Alongside its events, PiGs has developed its media offering through STY News, the Two PiGs in a Pod podcast and a growing online presence.

Since launching in 2004, PiGs has continued to grow its community, creating opportunities for people across the sector to connect, share experiences and build relationships in an informal and welcoming environment.

For George Lewis, the Editor of both PiGs and Modern Joinery News, the award is recognition of what the organisation has built with the support of the industry.

He said: “We are absolutely delighted to be recognised with this award win.

“PiGs has always been people focused, creating opportunities for the glazing industry to come together, and this award is a real acknowledgement of how integral PiGs has become in the glazing calendar.

“But in my opinion, this award also serves as recognition to PiGs’ ‘Sty Master’, Sarah Ball, who has run and grown the events brilliantly for 12 years.

“Of course, none of this would be possible without our sponsors, supporters, and everyone who comes along to our events, so this win belongs to them too!”

Sarah added: “When I first took the organisation of PiGs in 2014, I wanted to keep the spirit of what had been before but open it out to the whole of the glazing industry.

“A place where people could meet, have a laugh, make genuine connections and feel part of something. To see how the community has grown is truly rewarding.

“Being recognised as the UK’s Leading Glazing Industry Professional Network is a massive honour and gives us even more motivation to keep developing PiGs and finding new ways to support and connect the industry.”
