A “brilliant few days” for Joinerysoft at Fire Safety Event 2026

Alan Turner, Managing Director of software solutions provider, Joinerysoft, shares his thoughts after a successful Fire Safety Event at the NEC in Birmingham, where the company was exhibiting.

“A couple of weeks ago we were at Fire Safety Event 2026 at the NEC, showing fire-door manufacturers how JMS 3D Pro and JMS Cloud are changing the way certified doorsets get designed, built and tracked. Footfall was strong, the conversations were genuinely useful, and we’ve come home with some really good leads.

“JMS 3D Pro’s Commercial Door Configurator got a lot of attention. Rolling demos ran on the screens all day, and the team ran live walk-throughs on the stand, taking visitors through how a fire-doorset is configured, with every variable (core, lippings, intumescent seals, glazing apertures, fittings) modelled inside the parameters of their tested scope under EN 1634-1 and BS 476-22. Cross-sections, cutting lists, setting-out drawings and CNC files all coming out of the same model.

“JMS Cloud pulled in just as many questions, especially from manufacturers struggling with quoting, scheduling and traceability across multiple sites. Cloud comes as standard with every 3D Pro licence, and JMS Connect adds QR-code traceability at every workshop station — both of which a lot of people wanted to hear more about.

“Some of the best chats happened with suppliers, ironmongery specialists, certification bodies and other BWF Fire Door Alliance members, both at our stand and as we walked the floor. A theme kept coming up: how the design, supply and certification sides of the sector could work more closely together, and where software fits into that. It’s a direction we’re already moving in.

“A big thanks to the team for keeping things running flat out. The response was strong enough that we’ve booked a bigger stand for 2027 — bigger and better next time round.”
