Wolf Components named Manufacturing Guild Mark co-sponsor

Wolf Components has been announced as a new co-sponsor of the Manufacturing Guild Mark, which is said to further strengthen its commitment to championing excellence in British furniture manufacturing.

Awarded by The Furniture Makers’ Company, the Manufacturing Guild Mark is reportedly one of the furnishing industry’s most respected accolades, recognising companies that demonstrate consistently high standards across manufacturing, design, product quality, sustainability and business performance.

Founded in 2017 and headquartered in South Yorkshire, Wolf Components is a supplier of pocket springs to the UK bed industry, employing around 70 people across two manufacturing sites. The company has built a strong reputation for quality, innovation and investment in UK manufacturing.

Its decision to become a co-sponsor of the Manufacturing Guild Mark is said to reflect a natural progression of its involvement with the award, following the appointment of its co-founder and director, Anthony Joyce, as chairman earlier this year.

As co-sponsor along with Biesse UK, Wolf Components will support the continued promotion of the Manufacturing Guild Mark, helping to raise awareness of the importance of manufacturing excellence and encouraging more UK businesses to strive for the highest standards.

Anthony Joyce, Co-Founder and Director of Wolf Components, said: “Supporting the Manufacturing Guild Mark is a natural fit for Wolf Components. The values it represents – quality, integrity and continuous improvement – are at the heart of everything we do. We are proud to play a role in promoting and celebrating the very best of British manufacturing.”

Jonny Westbrooke, CEO of The Furniture Makers’ Company, said: “We are delighted to welcome Wolf Components as a co-sponsor of the Manufacturing Guild Mark. Their commitment to UK manufacturing and high standards makes them an excellent partner in supporting and promoting this important mark of excellence across the industry.”

Introduced in 1993, the Manufacturing Guild Mark is awarded to companies that manufacture the majority of their products in the UK and demonstrate excellence across all areas of their business. Independent audits are carried out by FIRA International, with successful companies reassessed every three years to ensure standards are maintained.
