Sash Window Workshop Initiative Helps Give £4,000+ to Charities

Bracknell-based timber window and door specialists, The Sash Window Workshop, has donated £4,150 to 13 charities this summer, thanks to a long-standing employee recognition scheme that celebrated loyalty and community spirit.

The initiative, which rewarded staff for reaching key work anniversaries, offers more than just a gift voucher. Employees were invited to nominate a charity close to their heart, with the company donating on their behalf. This year, 35 team members were recognised for their long service, a total of 495 years between them.

The beneficiaries included: Macmillan Cancer Support, Alzheimer’s Society, Cancer Research UK, Foyle Hospice, Princess Alice Hospice, Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, Swings and Smiles, British Heart Foundation, Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, Mind, Daisy’s Dream, 52 Lives, Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary

Richard Dollar, Managing Director of The Sash Window Workshop, said: “We’re proud to celebrate the commitment and loyalty of our long-serving employees by giving something back to the charities they care about.

“This initiative is a meaningful way for us to recognise staff contributions while also supporting incredible organisations doing vital work across the UK and locally.”

The chosen charities reflected the diverse passions of the team, spanning national health organisations, local hospices, and animal welfare groups. Each donation is a personal tribute, reinforcing the company’s commitment to people, purpose and place.

The Sash Window Workshop, a Which? Trusted Trader and member of multiple industry bodies including FENSA and the British Woodworking Federation, says it has built its reputation on craftsmanship, customer service and sustainability. This latest round of donations highlights the company’s belief that doing good business also means doing good in the community.
