edding at InstallerSHOW 2025

edding made its highly-anticipated debut at the InstallerSHOW this past June, and the team explained what a fantastic experience it was.

Across three action-packed days, the edding team engaged with hundreds of attendees, industry professionals, and trade enthusiasts. They said it was a brilliant opportunity to meet passionate individuals and forge valuable new connections that the brand looks forward to developing in the future.

Two visitor challenges

During the event, edding ran two popular challenges: ‘Drop it Like it’s Tough’ and the ‘Recover Tools’ challenge. The latter focused on the growing issue of tool theft, helping to raise awareness while prompting some insightful conversations. Meanwhile, ‘Drop it Like it’s Tough’ offered a test of strength that showcased the exceptional durability and resilience of edding’s flagship product, the 8890 Mechanical Carpenter Pencil.

In addition to the challenges, edding successfully showcased and sold both the 8890 Mechanical Carpenter Pencil and the 8880 Deep Hole Construction Pencil. The response from visitors was said to be overwhelmingly positive, with many expressing surprise and admiration for the tools’ quality, durability, and thoughtful design.

Attendees particularly appreciated that both pencils are refillable, built to last, and suitable for marking a wide range of surfaces including timber, wood, stone, brick, and metal.

The 8890’s robust aluminium barrel, rectangular lead for precision marking, and convenient holster were reportedly key highlights. For the 8880, its long, narrow mouthpiece, said to be perfect for tight spaces and cleverly integrated holster sharpener, stood out.

Major success

Combining strength, accuracy, and convenience, many visitors left the show with some new additions to their toolbox. The InstallerSHOW proved to be a major success for edding, and the team was incredibly grateful to everyone who stopped by, joined in, and showed their support.

Plans are already underway for an even bigger and better presence next year.
