Scotts celebrates Henry Pollock’s England debut

The Men’s Six Nations may be over, but Scotts Timber Engineering are excited for the future after seeing a player it sponsors, 20 year-old Henry Pollock, make his debut for England, incredibly scoring two tries.

Henry came off the bench to score two late tries against Wales in the final round of fixtures – adding to England’s thumping 68-14 Six Nations win at the Millenium Stadium.

The Northampton Saints back row became England men’s youngest Six Nations Rugby try-scorer, exhibiting performance sport values at their purest in his very first test outing.

Scotts Timber Engineering, a timber manufacturing company based in Northamptonshire where Henry plays, said the whole company is massively proud of his achievements.

England Under-18s captain Henry Pollock joined Northampton Saints’ Senior Academy ahead of the 2023/24 season, having been within Saints’ Academy set-up since his Under-13 season, when he was picked up following standout performances for Buckingham RUFC and Beachborough Prep School.

The flanker moved to Stowe School and has gone from strength to strength in Black, Green and Gold, also captaining Saints on their run to the Academy League Final.

He debuted for the first team against London Irish, Saracens and Newcastle Falcons in the 2022/23 Premiership Rugby Cup a season before signing his first professional contract.

Pollock made four further appearances in the 2023/24 season, including a Gallagher Premiership debut against Leicester Tigers that term.

Congratulations to Henry and Scotts Timber Engineering, and the team at Modern Joinery will keep a keen eye on Henry’s future for England after an incredible start.
