The glazing industry’s much-loved networking group, PIGS AKA People in Glazing Society has welcomed The Joinery Network as an annual sponsor for its events this year. This exciting collaboration kicks off at the first PIGS event of 2025, set to take place in Birmingham on the 27 February. With anticipation already building, the event promises to be a bustling start to the year.

A Hot Year for Timber in Glazing

2025 is shaping up to be a game-changing year for timber within the glazing sector. The buzz around timber windows and doors has been growing, fuelled by the popularity of recent industry news and trends.

Adding to the momentum, the upcoming FIT Show 2025 is placing an unprecedented spotlight on timber products. This renewed focus is sparking a surge of interest among professionals and consumers alike, marking a rising shift toward timber as a preferred material in glazing.

The Joinery Network’s Vision

Andy Ball, Director at The Joinery Network, shared his enthusiasm for the partnership: “We know the power of bringing people together. The Joinery Network has played a pivotal role in the growing interest in timber windows and doors. Over the past 12 months, timber has truly entered the mainstream, and our annual sponsorship of PIGS is a strategic step to build on this momentum.

“PIGS networking events are always a fantastic opportunity to connect with people across the sector. The Birmingham event will set the tone for a year where timber takes bigger slice of the pie. We’re excited to see more faces from the timber windows and doors sector than ever before.”
